msd 6al question


ok i have an 89' 306 with all the bolt ons. do you guys think it would be to my benifit to get a 6al? if so what kind of gains should i expect?

almost no gain, I'd spend the money somewhere else.

I agree 100%.

The 6AL will not add power, it will keep a powerful spark on a demanding engine. With your combination foxstang you have no use for a 6AL. The stock TFI Ford ignition is a pretty good unit from the factory. Spend the money else where.

thanks. yea i may put the money towards some electrick fans or maby some roller rockers. Side note. I baught a set of 1.7 roller rockers from a guy about a year ago and never put them on cuz i didnt have the right studs. well the other day i drug them out of the closet and there was only 15 rockers. yea i got fu**ed on that deal. no wonder they were so cheap. i guess I should have counted when i bought them. kicking myself in the ass for that one. but on the bright side i only spent $75 on them
