T5 Noise
is it normal for a t5 to make wining noise when in gear accelerating or just cruising. its not that lound you can only hear it with the shifter boot off.

thats normal if its not loud and noticeable with the shifter boot on, Im actually goin through that exact same thing right now, I finished replacin my clutch and flywheel yesterday and I havent put the boot back on yet

Audible whining from a tranny is not always "normal" especially on a T-5, the whining usually shows up right before you blow it up.
