If there is already a thread on this, cool, I'll search it out. Anyway, an aluminum driveshaft; definate must have or a is it more of a luxury? As of right now, I have only a few mods done. I'll give a list if ya want. Thanks

A little off topic but a friend told me that the Aluminum drive shaft on the all wheel drive Aerostars is the aluminum unit sold by FRPP. Someone correct me if they know otherwise.

Aluminum shaft is a great mod if you can afford to do it. It is not a must do. But it frees up more HP. Plus most stangs shafts have layers of dirt and corosion on theirs. I am wanting to put one on my car. But my list of needed mods keeps getting longer. Putting my wanted shaft lower on the list.

Do it. I bought one for around $220. It looks A LOT better than the stock one. My stock drive shaft weighed 20lbs. The aluminum one weighs 13 lbs. so there is quite a difference.
I think this is a great upgrade, why you ask? Well...1.) Pretty cheap. 2.)Doesn't need other supporting mods. 3.) Adds about 10HP. 4.) EASY to install. If you have questions on the install just let me know and I could help you through it. |

Where did you get your shaft from? Internet, wholesaler, private party? Where? The only ones I can find online are like $250+

Even if you get it for 25bucks cheaper they hey you saved something... Hopefully you can get it for cheaper though.. Shipping is gonna cost ya what 25 bucks? Let us know what you get it for if you win. I would not pay more than like 200 for it. Anymore than that you might as well just buy a new one. Summit has them for $245.00 and I think they ship for free.. I think..
