dumb question


do you need your act sensor ????? i know your coolant temp sensor will do just about the same thing for the air fuel ratio, but i just installed a explorer intake on my 1992 306 and there is no hole for that sensor???

Yes you do need it but if you do not have the hole for it just plug it in and zip tie it or something to the intake. Your air fuel ratio will not be correct if the computer does not know the temp of the incoming air charge..

+1 he speaks in truths. its because the temperature of the air affects its density, which affects how much O2 is present per unit of volume... blah blah and all that, but absically colder air =more O2 = more fuel can burn, to more fuel will be put into the cylinder. otherwise the computer jsut sits there and goes
