i still cant start the damn thing!oh the set screws on both side were all the way tight with a half a turn to the left.. and the idle set screw was a turn and a half out. i cant visually see a change in fuel amounts when i move the set screws... and the last two times i started it, it idled for about 30 seconds and then bogged down and died. i cant get it started, and im getting very very frustrated.. is the carb too big? does the vaccum have anything to do with idle? why isnt my car running?????? please help.

Sounds like you may need to disassemble the carb,and check needle valve and seat for wear, check for the valve sticking open.But first check the easy- air bleeds,choke.
