helping a freind with spark plugs

My buddy said his car sounds like its running on 7 cylinders. I asked him the last time he changed the plugs and wires. Said the wires are fresh but he cant get a socket around the plugs to remove them, that they need a really thin walled socket. What size socket do the plugs require? and do they need any special kind of socket?

I think the 5.0 takes a 5/8" plug socket, I could be wrong though.

a socket made for spark plugs is typically thin walled. Get a spark plug socket...done.
