Speedometer reading odd...

I have a '91. T-5, 8.8 rear, 3.73gears. It is a street car. It started life as a 4 cyl.

The speedo is ALL sorts of retarded. Not even close to accurate.

Will a set of recalibration gears be accurate on my car given the way it began life?

i would get a 140 mph speed, and the gears to go with it....i could be mistaken but i believe you have to change the speedo gear when you swap out the ring and pinion...

I bought the car already converted. I have no idea what is even in there for gearing.

And where could I procure a 140MPH speedo and the associated gears?
