shocks/struts

I need to replace my shocks/struts and I was looking at Bilsteins kits and was wondering if they are worth the amount they are asking or are there other shocks/struts that are almost as good at a fraction of the price?

Are you a serious auto x'er? And by serious, have you replaced all your suspension w/ aftrmarket corner cutter gear? If you answered yes, go Bilstein, if no, keep reading.

Bilstein are amazing, but KYB's are MUCH cheaper and great quality. The AGX series is damping force adjustable. Lifetime warranty and you can find them at nearly any auto parts store or website. I ran them on a different car I had and I did all sorts of road course stuff and NEVER had a problem outta 'em.

homebrewed, what do you think about the Tokico HP's or the Illumina's? My car (93 LX vert, 5 speed) is mostly street but would like to take it to the track every once in a while, with that said, would it be worth getting adjustables all the way around?

Toxico's are only avaliable thru select vendors as well. The main reason I like the KYB's are their avaliability thru almost anywhere. The warranty is tought to beat too. The Illumia series are a good damper too. An adjustable damper, once you ride on a set, you will be hard pressed to not ride on anything else.

Who? Me; anything I could run on. Out in St Louis last @WFC XI, I got into an impromptu road couse race w/ a buddy. He has a 93 Cobra, I had my 3rd Gen Eclipse. He said he could take me on the road. Not so much... Good times, good times

Didn't have much choice. Not alot of power options for a 3rd gen 4cyl Eclipse. Then I got an Evo...

I should have said strip instead of track. At some point in time I would just like to what she'll do.

Thats a good idea. Take it as is and then get some new dampers and redo it...
