B303 cam

If there is already a topic that discusses this, cool, I'll look deeper.

Anyway, my car has the B303 cam. What does that mean? What are some of the specs? Lift, duration, overlap, etc. I did some looking online, and found lots of stuff on the "E" & "F" cams, but nothing on my B.

Thanks!

What do those numbers mean? I am a chassis tuner. Suspension, brakes, weight transfer, etc. are my forte'. I don't really know how to interpert the # of a cam or its profile

ur valves stay open 13 degrees longer on the intake side and closes 42 degrees sooner more air equals more power. It basically closes the valves quicker although the lift is mild . the cam has a closer overlap which gives it a rougher idle. some one correct me if im wrong its been a while

Well what do you want to know exactly? Just an explicit description of .498"/.498" @ 282*/282* ?

Here's a good place to start

mabey about a year but I really dont know anyone around here. my car only ran a 14.9 so untill I can get that down to atleast low 13's im not going to go race anytime soon. it sucks being the slowest mustang at the track. at lesast there was a late 80's camaro running mid 15's. yep im on kcsr 88stanggt my cousin put a "brace yourself, honda tuning" licens plate frame on my car off of his acura intg h22 so people always try to race me. that h22 would whip me...if it would run right lol

its a fear and loathing (movie) name. I think it was a traction issue. I burned out on street tires and they might of held water in the groove and I had a helmet on and couldnt tell I was buring out off the line. I took out the sub woofer system but I was drivng the car to the track and I know my luck. if I would have taken the spare out I would have needed it.

it needs a tune up and new back tires, all the fluids changed. just been wating for that weekend combo of enough money and 70 degrees. my car seems to take off great but after 50 mph limp as bob dole. new fuel filter/pump pressure? I am going to try that sea foam engine cleaner stuff to see if it helps any.

NO!!!!!!!!! Do NOT use seafoam!!! Use some B-12 Chem tool. The seafoam has oil in it. The Chem tool will clean much better and is cheaper. I have used both and will NOT use anything but the B-12.

As far as workin on your car, the fluids are cheap and easy to do. The rear diff can be a bitch, but but it can be done inside of 90minutes.

Gimme a shout sometime. (816)596-1562 (cell) I'll give ya a hand. I got a few buddies that work @ Advance and Oreilly auto. I'll get ya the hook-up

I found this

1988 Ford Mustang GT 6.4 15.0 stock 1/4 mile time. so with the convertable weight about 15.3 stock then I bought it with 3.73 gears and I think a valve body shift kit. im guessing that how I get 14.9. I have the aod so I will see how 4.10s do.
