Heater hoses on electric water pumps?
Anyone running an electric water pump care to enlighten me on what you have to do? I was all ready to buy one today but noticed no provisions on any of the pics of the ones I saw for heater hoses. Do you need to buy other parts to adapt, do they come with and I'm just not seeing them, or can you not run your heater when you have an electric waterpump?

you can, just have to use the bypass hose of the thermostat housing for one of the hoses

they live bout a year. it aggravating to get a belt on them if your still trying to run the a/c and p/s. You have to buy one of those mezeire's that have the pulley on it or buy the march bracket setup.

Well other than the alternator, the waterpump is the only other thing on my belt, so I don't have to worry about serpentine issues. What brand did you have that lasted only a year?
Do you have a pic of the bypass hose off the thermostat housing? I have a 94 block in mine so a lot of my parts are mix and match. I know the waterpump is different than on an 89, but I don't know what else is 89 on that car and what is 94 as far as brackets and accy's and all that, and I don't have anything but a bleeder hole on my thermostat housing. |

Thats good to know. I'm going with an even cheaper one than that, so chances are that one will probably crap out in 6 months. lol, I love being impatient.

I'm trying to eek out every little bit I can out of this car is what it boils down to. My waterpump is shot and I need a new one so I figured now is the best time to get one.
