A 351 would be great you could go 1 step further with a 351 stroker

How much money you got?If I had to do it all over again,I would buy a 514 cube crate motor,a C-6 and be done with it all at once. You will never break either one and as long as your chassis can put the power down, will make you happy for years.Still not enough?Put a blower on it....

that crate motor is about 10 grand. so forget that for now. u will get all the power u need out of a 351w. what u need to do is call ur local machine shop tell them u want the 351 bored 30 over to a 357. from there u get urself a pretty radical cam or a mild cam ur choice remember bigger isnt always better, get urself some afr heads, and an edelbrock victor jr intake, with a holley 4 bbl carb. and than be done with it. find a tranny, probably a c4 or if u want stick get a tko600.

Why bore only 30 over? If you are puttin in a new motor like that just stroke that fucker and you will never have to worry about engine size... Remenber what your last girlfriend told you as she left... "size does matter baby!"

351 storker because you are going to put the same money in a 302 storker. But if you with the 351 you will be happy I think. let us know what size you was thinking.

If u got the money get dss to build u a 347 or a 408 with a heavy cam and some track heat heads. theyll build it to ur specs for $5500-10000 depending on the options. Youll never know power for each part unless they complement the motor. stock 5.0 with a tfs stage 2 cam wouldnt pick up much power. but throw it in with a set of tfs heads and a stroker and ur lookin for a huge gain get it ......
