S/C questions

well first off ide like to know the best S/C i can get for my 95 cobra. and then also i know it is safe to run 8-10 but what about like 15? on stock bottom? what kind of dyno numbers do you guys think i could see (h-pipes, no cats shorty headers) any input is really appreciated i dont know much about S/C's so i need fuel for thought. i know im going to spend some dough. im prepared to spend about 4500, but i want my 4500 worth of performance on stock bottom. and i want a S/C that i can crank more boost out of in the future when i upgrade the bottom. but for now i rreally want to see at least 100 extra ponys. and i am already aware that ill need to get the car dyno tuned. so anyone know of a good tune shop in PNW? thanks once again guys!

the guys at 5.0 mustang successfully added 17psi of boost with a vortech SQ with a AFM B31 cam Trickflow TW heads PP typhoon intake 75mm tbody lightning mass air meter and 50lb injectors. Im not sure on the pump or whether they used a FMU but they made 506hp with a stock bottom end. They did this with the factory forged pistons which im not sure your engine has. I think 92 was the last year they came factory

Are you wanting a centrifugal or roots style? A cetri. will spool kinda like a turbo. ie; higher RPM. A roots will be a flatter, lower RPM power source.

IMO, go ProCharger. Yeah, yeah, I say that alot, but they are local for me (Lenexa KS) and I have seen what they are capable of. Crazy power!

A D-1SC is upgradable. No oil lines, self contained oiling system, highest PRM's for the impeller, super easy install,

Kenne bell came out with a new big bore supercharger that just takes the place of the intake.it will help you out in the low and midrange which is good for a street car

I disagree I think the centrifuge type is better because a Mustang already has a good amount of low end and by having the boost come on mid to top helps the car already have traction when the boost comes on. With a roots type boost comes on pretty much off idle and does not help the traction on take-off. Even with a good suspension on a Mustang when you have 400+RWHP try and get a good launch on the street with that...

if your car is gonna be a daily driver, I recommend that u run low or moderate boost on that stock non forged engine, 15 psi would be too risky. Now if u have alot of play money, and an extra vehicle, then go ahead and run 12-15 psi. Your engine would handle it for a while but there would be a high chance of breakin a rod or somethin.

Oh forgot to mention the great amount of stress a Roots style charger puts on the front of your crankshaft.. Especially when the belt is real tight for max boost.. Stock motors dont like to have their crank pulled!!! hahahalol get it!!! hahahaa

It is not an issue on a car that came with a Roots style blower but it can be an issue if you just bolt one on... Not sayin its gonna kill your motor or anything but its just another thing to think about when pickin out a S/C
