O.K. guys I am in need of some serious help. I have been trying to figure out my valvetrain noise for 3 weeks now with no such luck. I had a valve job done and block work done. I put everything baack together and had alot of noise. So after playing with differen't pushrods and shims and no such luck I bought new lifters and picked up a set of roller rockers 1.6. Now the set up I have is factory heads non adjustable pedastal roller rockers. After installing all that and checking my preload I am at .043. And guess what it is still just as noisy. So I had someone listen to it at a service shop and they said the rockers are hitting the valve covers so I got home last night and decided to pull my rockers off and I found a bent pushrod. So I pulled my pushrods and put a new set in and I doubled up my valve cover gaskets for more clearence and still just as much noise. So I put my factory rockers back on since they are much smaller than the aftermarket ones were and still just as noisy. I give up 3 weeks of nothing but headaches every single night and weekend with no results and flat broke wallet now and a bent pushrod.

I would take the valve cover off and roll the motor over and check and make sure the rocker arm isn't hitting the retainer before it hits the valve. what all parts were replaced int the valve job? Were the Springs replaced?
