new to stang question


hey guys got my first stang 86gt and got a question, the car is stock with the exception of 87 heads put on due to head gaskets being changed.
question is if i go from the 60 throttle body to a larger one will i need to do anything else to the motor and will i notice any real difference

No, there are so many better first upgrades. Try 3:73 of 4:10 gears, or exhaust. I would wait until the top end is built before upgrading the throttle body.

get longtubes (not MAC) and full exhaust and do your suspension rear control arms and those upper housing bushings.

Suspension, suspension, suspension. That needs to be the #1 priority. You will see such a greater differance w/ those upgrades than almost any another mod. If you are serious, it will take much more than a set of springs and some dampers. Caster/camber plates, upper/lower arms, bushings, hell, even a "K" member, just to give ya some ideas...
