Another Tony ?
So i know that with a trick flow top end and 4:30 gears in an aod, i will be spinning about 2800 or a little more at 70 mph, or at least that is what a buddy spins at with a similar setup. However, with a 347 kit will the rpms be higher at the same speed?

Well I would think rpm is rpm as far as a motor goes. I mean 6000rpm on a 302 and 6000rpm on a 347 is 6000rpm.. So one would think you should spin the same as him as long as everything else is the same.. Gears trans converter ect....

Cool, I just remembered you telling me 4:30s might be too much. I was just thinking about it more and more. That is cool though man.
I meant anybody could answer, but stangzilla has a 347 and a high horse power engine and i was just wondering if his changed any. Guess not!

I only said that cuz i forgot you were running an AOD. IMO 4.30's are way to low for a street car...

remember though, college kid, lives on campus, only drive on the weekends and when the track opens...But yeah i guess i will find out soon enough. Taxes arrive soon!!!
