tire sizing


whats the biggest rear i can run on my 92 lx notch, i have pony rims. I thought i could run 235x50x16s but the tire guy told me the would rub so ????

I've put 255 50 16s on with no problem at all. I guess you can put 275 on.

I've run 265/50-15s and 26x10.5-15 ET Streets with no modifications and no rubbing. The rim size I used with those sizes is 15x8 with 5.5 inch backspace. I see you have 16 inch wheels but at least this will give you an idea of what fits.

I have 255's on the rear with no probs on a gt w/ ground effects. A guy at the tire shop said I might be able to go up to 275.
