nasty noise in the top end.

I have an 88 gt that got a nasty noise in it yesterday. i just got it back up and running after a fuel pump quit on me. went for a ride wormed it up. tried a launch. everything went well. drove back home and was turning in to the garage when it died. tied to crank it. let it set. when it cranked up it was making a lot of rattiling from the top end. pulled the valve covers off to see.
there is nothing out of adjustment. what could be doing this.

Without hearing the noise for ourselves, it's hard to say. Where exactly does the sound appear to be coming from? Is it a ticking, or a rattling, or whatever....?

it comes from every where . i put a screwdriver on the studs of all the rockers. some f them are louder than others. if you listin to the intake it mostly comes from there. the car runs fine. it dosen't shake or miss.

not to jack ur thread but i got a quick question....my motor makes an awful noise from top end to..but only at higher rpms if u rev it...could that b a timing prob??
