manual to power windows
Would it be possible to put a power window and lock setup into a 87 manual door? The doors look to be a little different.

You might need the whole manual door panel. Never done it before but i would think you would swap the panels and hook up a few things and be done.

Where are you going to get those motors? And how much are they? Every quote I'd heard for power window motors is extortion.
On topic: Find a buddy with a fox and power everything. Take off his door panels and see where you need to mount junk. |

anything's possible man, You just gotta get the parts and have the mindset to do it. I personally found my car because it had manual windows and I won't ever have power windows again because my '93 explorer's windows messed up everytime I turned around.

But yes, just do it. Apparently, nobody here has done it, but it's a matter of putting the motors in and running the wires. Do you have the control panels? If not, make your own. |

Power windows are pretty nice to have, but with a non powered car, it's better weight wise. Like when they made the notch backs without anything except a 5.0 and 5 speed...less toys = light weight, and we all know what thats good for.
