speed density with stage 2 cam

I read something about having to re-program the computer if I want to do a top end kit from trickflow. But I just want to know exacly what I have to do to my car as far as the speed density. Im sure there is a better way than the mass air conversion($600). anyone have a top end kit with speed density?

After I get the kit installed I will upload a video on google. the only 5.0 I could find only had the stage2 cam with ed-L-brock heads.

The stock cam makes a lot of vacume apperently a aftermarket cam will not make the same and will not be able to idle or some shit.

You can convert to mass air for about $200 or so. Interactive Technologies makes the harness for $29 and you can get the computer and mass air from a junk yard for $150-$200.

there is a way to use sd with big cams. the thing is called megasquirt or something similar to that. a friend is running a sd setup on a 357 w with a big custom cam and afr185 heads. thats the only way i can c it working other wise its a maf conversion for u. and it aint that expensive to do the swap the ecu and everything from a junkyard wil run u 150-200 like darrel said. i will do some more research on the sd setup thing and post it when i get it.

Megasquirt has nothing to do with a stock EEC though. Many aftermarket EFI systems are speed density. Factory Ford EECs are the only systems that have issues with speed density.
