I am thinking on buying a 1990 Mustang LX Hatchback Help plz

How long until the engine would breakdown and what happens, and are their any other problems with engines that I could be told about? These are what he told me all for around 3grand.

1990 mustang 5.0L LX hatchback
silver exterior grey interior
excellent exterior and interior condition
304,XXXkm...10X,XXXkm on new engine
Manual transmission
winter tires 2 months old.
new alternator
new brakes and rotors
new cap and rotor set, and performance ignition wires and plugs
K&N performance air filter
flowmaster straight pipe exhaust system (dropped cats)
always run with 91+octance gasoline and synthetic castrol oil

comes with: (not installed)
-edelbroch air intake and air intake manifold
-M.A.C. performance headers

drawbacks:
-2nd gear syncs going but still completely functional
-front bumper has chips and minor scratches from highway driving debris and snowbanks
-rear hatch wont stay up half the time

Doesn't sound bad. But once you get a Mustang you'll be tinkering on it until you die.

16 and no job? Well, like stangzilla said, get a job.

I'd get an econobox first because the money you save in buying the car + insurance + gas will build up quick if you save it.

Unless you plan to keep the mustang stock or as is until you're out of school (high school or college, whatever comes last) I wouldn't get it for my only car.

Nah, i meant he should buy the one above. It is asilver 1990 LX 5.0, gray interior, just like mine, but the one he is looking at is a 5 speed.

I am definitely keeping mine.
