Upper & Lower Control Arm

Anyone got some step by step instructions on how to install them. I also wants to do gears, should I do that also at the same time? I am not the best or not close to best machanic, or should I get someone to do the gear and control arms. Any Instructions you have though is welcome.

definately get someone to install the gears for you. might as well pay the little extra to have them do the control arms while they are under there as well.

I just did the same install (non adjustable rear uppers and lowers) last Saturday, it wasn't bad at all, 2 jack stands and a jack, a second jack would help. Are you replacing the upper arm bushings? if so that was the hardest part, drilling out the old bushings and beating them out and beating in the new ones. If your not replacing those than its just a matter of getting it up in the air by the frame and then put the jack under the rear end and removing the bolts for the uppers and once your finished with those take the bottom bolts out of the shocks and the bottom bolt out of the quad shocks and let the rear end drop (but still leave some of the weight on the jack under the rear end) and take out the spring then remove the lowers then put it all back together. It took me about 4 hours to do.

the uppers and lowers arnt too bad, but as far as the gear install deffinatly get someone to help you there, and might as well get it done while the rear end is out.

I thought about having the U/L installed at the same time but the shop that is going to do the gear install is not taking the rear end out, he said he will do the gear swap with the rear end in the car. I would definitly have someone who knows what there doing do the gear install!
