Transgo Shift Kit question

Anyone have experience installing a transgo shift kit? Is it dificult or time consuming to do? could I do it in my garage with just jack stands and a floor jack? Also, has anyone had any bad/good experiences with them?

I have never done one, but my buddy is doing a valve body for me...he says they are easy to put in.

And yes i have experience with them, it will wake up that tranny of yours. There are two different ways you can go, i would personally go with the harder shifts. While you are working with the transmission, are you going to put in a higher stall or a trans cooler? Those are two mods you want to do sometime as well.

I was thinking very seriously about putting a trans cooler from ford racing on it as well. As far as a torque converter, I havn't considered it because I'm a college student on a budget. I know that the AOD is pretty week so I figured a Transgo kit on it with a transcooler from ford racing would wake it up a little and cause a lot less heat. I have had bad experience with ford transmissions, the AOD being one of them. I figured if I run it with this setup it would seriously extend the life of the transmission.

Just follow the directions and you should not have a problem.just make sure you use a inch pound torque wrench and proper torque sequence.
you really cant go to big with a trans cooler.heat is the #1 killer of transmission.one thing you should do is change the TV cable grommet
on your TB if that breaks and they commonly do it will cause premature
trans failure
