91, thanks for the response. I wasn't looking to start a whole hate fest in here. I know some guys that get a ton of power out of a 302 and you're right, it is all about what you prefer. I am still up in the air with what I want to do with my car as far as the "end all, be all engine". I am thinking 408. If an 6.0 LS swap is cheaper, I may go that route. I don't know for sure yet that is why nothing is currently done to my car power wise.
I would like to add one thing though - If someone builds a 347 and has problems with it and or it makes less power than a 331, they did it wrong. Ok, so I will add one more thing - some 331 kits don't require clearancing for the longer throws at the bottom of cylinder bores like a 347 does but I would imagine that you could do it yourself before the rest of the block gets machined in order to save money on the extra machining. |

i have a nice 347 that just came out for $1500 ready to be transplanted into another car its on ice till then. mine burns no oil (leaked a little but that was my fault) and runs low 11's with no power adders.

cause if i put it in mcnasty thats $1500 less to put into lacy. mcnasty is my wifes car she can put her own money in it lol. i have a 306 ready to go all it needs is rings and bearings and she is too cheap for that.. i have a feeling mcnasty is gonna turn into my car very soon then it may become a full blown race car. possibly something that we build as a team.
