Dude, just practice your launches. Learn to feather the clutch so you don't spin. It's really not that hard to do. I had an 88 lx with 4.10's and gt40 heads/intake and I could spin through 3rd gear and not be through an intersection. My current 91 with 3.73's is even worse for some reason, but I know how to control it.

One thing I learned when dealing with 4.10s is launch from an idle on the street. I NEVER launch on the street with rpms. I found this to help a lot with wheelspin and actually gets you moving a lot faster. Just idle, dump the clutch, and feather the gas a little til you start moving. I usually feather the gas or maybe 3/4 throttle it til 3k ish rpms then I floor it. Works for me
