Clutch cable???

I am wondering if it is a good idea to replace my cable. I think it is an original cable, the car has 90k or so. But if the dash has to come out I realy don't want to do it. I have a fresh buitl t5 going and motor.

Thanks

JON

The dash does not have to come out to replace it. If your clutch feels good dont bother.. But you do have 90k on the car and you prob will be replaceng the clutch soon and thats when I would do it.. Use a Ford OEM cable...

you dont have to take apart the dash.. you just have to turn into the human upside down bendy straw. if you replace the cable, id replace the cabnle quadrant as well. a set of a cable and a quadrant isnt that much.. and it saves you the aggravation of actaully breaking that plastic pos quadrant and getting stuck in the middle of nowhere like i did. you dont neecissarily need to get an oem cable.. some have firewall adjusters as well as at the fork adjusters and both i think. summit has a pretty good selection.

In my experience the OEM cable is the best... Trust me get it... But like I said b4 dont bother if your clutch feels good.. Replace it when you change the clutch though...
