That sucks man. 82 specific parts aren't extremely easy to come across but they do show up sometimes. Oh and screw work! lol

look what i found at the swap meet today....



he wanted 275....he got 200 and was happy. he had a hood, but i woulda have to cut it up with my new intake im puttin on, so i skipped on the hood
i cant wait to strip this bitch down and mount her up.

That gray car looks really nice. I had a 79 almost twenty years ago that was almost that color, with the center of the hood blacked out. I had the solid old school auto drag centerlines on it.....miss that one! Also had an '84 gt that was red and black that I repainted the same scheme but orange and black. I agree about the 82 bumper looking better. It would be that or the 85/86....

its goin on my 85 when i got the 85 it had the aero front end (87-93)
and my buddy gave me a spare one because the one on the car was busted.
i could have a 85 front end, a good one for 100 but nothing is as mean as the 79/82 gt front clip....:raginboner and the paint is shit on the front clip but its just fallin off, so it shouldnt be too bad to clean up

oh okay. i had an 85 gt and i was going to say dont change the 85 front end, but if your saying that you have the 87 and newer front clip then ya just put it back to some sort of a 4 eye stang. its funny cuz when i had my 85 gt all i wanted was a 91 gt and now that i have it i miss my old 85. i wish i could have kept both

NICE! Glad to see you found one! I have never seen a purple 82. Interesting. Keep us posted on the progress of your 85.

Will do, its a nice purple IMO, i like how the douche had a 275 sticker OVER the 225 sticker. had a matching hood too but he wanted too much for shit.

BTW

do you have pix of the front clip W/O the metal bumper? my bumper was Stuck in the front clip, i removed all the fasteners too

no buts its cool i saw theres only one more nut on the bumper but its rusted n chewed up. im gunna cut it off when i geta chance. once its off ima male a fiberglass bumper support.
