and the whole point is that he does have a "stock" 5.0 and might be new to tuning and bumping the timing up till it pings and then back it down is dumb.because it could still have inaudible pre-ignition that's just as bad and when you cover it with higher octane and keep bumping the timing up you could be losing power.plus if it's a daily driver the extra cash for the 93 octane isn't worth the few extra HP.

what your saying about the extra money makes no sense. i can get an extra 10 to 15 miles out of a tank with the 93 as opposed to the 89. that translates to the same cost per gallon.

93 does not get better mileage on a 9:1 engine , bet if you have a truck too, you'd drive around with the tailgate down too.

ok well im telling you that if i put 93 in my car i can get more milage out of it. I have done it just to see the difference. it may not work on your car but it does on mine. Let me ask you how you know that it doesnt get better milage? oh and by the way you dont have to make smart ass comments about me driving around with the tailgate down. im not trying to talk shit I was just putting in my 2cents

any mod that dosent add more fuel, and that gives more hp, in theory will make better mileage. and less drag makes for better mileage too.

are you talking about the tailgate thing? Because they have proved that wrong. with the tailgate up there is a vortex created in the bed of the truck and the wind actuallly goes over the vortex. I watched it on mythbusters. lol. i love that show.

well, I'm not a retard or gay, and I dont get my ass handed to me by ls1s, I do know about timing and fuel, and 88lsc, I bet when its clean, your car is nice, but I think you might have the trouble with the f-body ls1s, and probly, lt1s too.

probably would have some trouble with this 3800+ land yacht with the stock 5.0ho.but it does have try-headers,off road h-pipe,3.73 gear and it does pull pretty good for a 100.000+ mile motor.I need to run it at GLD and the aod needs to go also.
