Turning up timing


On a stock 5.0. If you turn up your timing does it help any.

Sure it does.. Start with like 14degrees and super unleaded and keep goin until you hear pinging while driving then back off a bit... Gotta run super unleaded though...

sure if you like paying more for gas and the extra carbon build up you will get over time.

Yup, I agree... We all have mustangs so we can make less horsepower and get really good gas milage. I like to put my timing at 5 deg. I luv the way it dosen't pull at full throttle.

ok you fags are retarded,in the long run a stock 9:1 5.0 does not make enough compressed energy to burn all of the higher octane and it WILL have more carbon build up.so if your gonna hit the track sure bump it up, on the street it's pointless like these two fucks.

91 never hurt anybody. besides what do you mean pay more money? what an extra 15 cents a gallon? thats like en extra 2 dollars on a fill up not even enough to make a differance

ok and who is the on driving the "stock" mustang. besides what does racing an LS1 have to do with what octain we are running? btw i have beat my share of LS1's. could you even beat a honda w/ nitrous right now?
