How to Identify 351 From 302
I have a 302 right now but long story short... I met this guy yesterday that wanted to run cars together, well he mentioned that he's got a 400ci and a 351ci engine. Right now I can give a smack if the 351 is a winsor or Clevend. All I want to know is how to tell if this engine is a real 351 not a 302.
I'm not taking off my intake manifold just to test or buy another one to test. s there a way to identify this so called 351 without paying for it first? Thanks

If you can measure deck height, you'll know what it is for shizzle.

if you happen to have a 302 intake handy try it on the suspected 351W
and if it fits its not a 351 and in fact a 302

Now that's what I'm talking about. That helps out. Can I also measure from the bottom of the block where the oil pan meets the block, and measure to the top?

Alright I will do that to my 302 so I can differ from the 351 I want. Check out my new post as well about where to get a 351 just in case I am falling into another screw ball deal
