mostly heat when installed under hood, mine was starting to give me problems. but i moved it to under the drivers seat and it was fine except for annoying buzzing.
Well mine is going directly under my seat soon or in the glove box now that I know how that's been breaking all the time. Makes a bunch of sense too.

The two major causes for MSD ignition failure are:
1. heat
2. poor installation

yeah mine is going straight to the glove box. I guess MSD didn't think that one trhough about heat insulation for the box, let alone the spark it creates which is more dead heat in the box.

what bout Accel i have one for a long time inside the engine bay and no problems and i don`t like the rpm pills that have to be use with msd

ACCEL??? YUCK!!!!!!

Spark plugs stinks on ice, even had a blaster coil from them, yeah they stink on ice too :sleep

I put mine near the intake box so air from the fan keeps it cools...

Yeah I can also say I know of a lot of MSD ignition failures. I hear the Mallory boxes are good.
