$200 for a gear reduction starter might be a bit steep but is not that bad. Powermaster's run about $160 or so.

Well for what they are talking about, once you've added it to your sang, you might feel like you had a handjob LOL.

Anyways you guys, I said $200 bucks because I mean hey (MSD Name + Price) would = nearly 200 bucks LOL.

they sure sold a lot of alternators, especially to the car show guys and gals.

For me, I'll stick w/ my $99 CSR gear reduction starter, reduced from $289 at Jegs due to CSR changing their name to CSI. $190 for a decal...not this old boy

I've noticed this with Digital 6 boxes only. I've used/installed several (upwards of 20) 6AL, 7AL-2, 7AL-3 and Digital 7 boxes with zero failures. I have had 3 Digital 6 boxes fail within a short period of time.

Ive got a 6al in mine and it had to be sent back for repairs shortly after it was installed. got it back and the car ran good for a bit then shit on me again. turns out that the pickup in the distributor came apart on me. rebuilt the distributor now a pro billet distributor is on my list of things to do.

I see everyone talking about the problems. Has anyone figured out why?

Why do these MSD Ignition boxes keep crapping up?

mostly heat when installed under hood, mine was starting to give me problems. but i moved it to under the drivers seat and it was fine except for annoying buzzing.
