Transmission Problem

what -up peoples well i just put a new clutch on my 88 mustang and put it back on the road after it had been siting for bout 8 month for the winter
first few days it was fine and then i started hearing a wining noise in second and third gear when the car is coasting and it seems that it is getting lauder specially when the car warms up after i been driving for a wile it sounds like there is two piece of metal spinning against each other and now I'm having problems engaging reverse and i hear the same wining noise but not as laud when i put it in gear forth and fifth gear sound ok the transmission was use when i got it 2 years ago and it sat for a few month before i put it in but it never did this before i did just purchase a new short-trow shifter for it but at first it drove fine with no noise any input with these would be appreciated...

yes they are new but i do hear the throw out bearing a little bit
but it just seems that the noise is coming from inside the transmission
i could hear it where the shifter is

Did you adjust the shifter stops correctly? Sounds as if they may be adjusted out to far and also did you add any tranny fluid back after doing the clutch R&R? I'm sure you lost some dropping it out. try adjusting the shifter stops and draining the trans and refilling w/ mercon atf. Should take roughly 3 qts.

also i hear the same wining sound now when i put it in second and first but it is real soft but it is real obvious in third when I'm of the gas i did adjust the stops on the shifter but i will try again it seems that i`m always having problems with my transmissions had 2 autos and two 5 speed and always problems !!! thanks for the help
