crontrol arm questions.

Ok so you can see by my sig what i have done to my car. I removed the quad shocks from the back because I heard a ton of ppl say they do nothing considering after about 50k miles they wear out. plus it let me get rid of the spacer on the back rims. well now i have the worst wheel hop i have ever seen. Ive been told that i need rear control arms but i have no clue what to but or what brands are good. any help would be great. o BTW i have an Ibock pro kit on the car. I dont know if that makes a difference. thanks guys.

Yes, you need to replace your upper and lower control arms. Upper if anything but I would do both the be safe and accurate.

E bay has the same style as the summit ones for 135.00. unless you get the fancy hiem joint adj. ones, there about all the same, the cheaper the better.

Yeah The ebay ones are just as good for the cheaper price I have to admit. Just don't fall in love with ebay and grab motor parts, you will not be happy with yourself about 3 months from the purchase other than the control arms.

Yeah right... prove it!!

Kidding, my way of saying can I see a pic of em if you got one. Also quoting my last post. Be careful on Ebay, Some people try to clean and re-sell the same damn factory part by painting the original ones and replacing the 11 dollar bushings.

So make sure you look and inspect before you install.

the quad shocks only purpose is to eliminate wheel hop. you can put em back on, stop doing burn-outs, or get tires so stickey that you get no wheel spin.

Dont have any pics of the lower control arms...

The notch and hatch are long gone...AKA They left me about 5 years ago...

The summit ones are my favorite...Ebay is fine for them but you have to watch it ebcuase i have seen ebay control arms be the defects that were tossed out of the factory...I have seen them welded crooked and such...But that was on the adjustables...You should be fine...

Yeah I never believed of removing my quads. Someone told me to do that so I can put a slightly bigger wheel in... FUCK THAT I'd rather buldge out a little. I do want some wide boys on the back though.

F*ck some quad shocks...

If you have aftermarket upper and lower control arms you dont need them...

I have never left a set on any of my mustangs...

well with them on i have to have a wheel spacer and i the lug nuts dont get much thread on the studs. just feels safer without the spacer on. plus most tire places wont even touch the car if it has spacers on it.

They are there cause the factory control arms are crop! Once upgraded there is no need for the quads.
