with exhaust you want to start with the mufflers and work your way back. headers are the last modds you want

That is not very good advice, why start with mufflers and work back? If you do that and you decide to go with full lengths you will be buying 2 mid pipes or hacking it up. The stock manifolds and shorties require a longer mid pipe, and LT's require a shorter mid pipe. I would decide what you are going to run and buy it all together, instead of doing things twice and hacking them up.

i heard having a 4.10 gear would make ur rpm/speedometer out of wack and 3.73's would be somewhat close to stock on ur rpm.

Isn't it the same one for 3.73's and 4.10's??? Too lazy to look it up right now.

So next question is: what uses 7 tooth, and what uses 8 tooth?

the air silencer is quite restrictive. they have dyno sheets to show
the first mods i did were; weight reduction, full exhaust, intake, pulleys
i wish i did gears first, i love my 4.10's. the stock 2:73's DID NOT do the justice
either did the stock, old, pos AOD, i scrapped it

if your making it into a race car, start with some weight loss, easy and free
remove your smog and a/c and heater box

as for the tooth discussion.. lol
i don't even have a speedo
