fmu help
i have recently upgraded my fuel system. had 255 lph in tank t-rex for s-trim vortec s/c 30 lb injectors stock rails and 10:1 fmu with stock lines. now have sumped tank dual external wal-bro 255 lph -6 lines 1/2 in. rails 42 lb injectors aeromotive regulator with 1:1 boost reference with 10-11 lbs of boost. car also has all the extras. my question is can i get rid of fmu because of the rich ratio for old fuel system or do i get the super fmu from vortec for the new system which has more adjustability for fuel curve and tuning or is the aeromotive reg. 1:1 reference enough where i wont get a lean condition. sorry for the long post thanks in advance.

Loose the FMU! You will thank me. I gained 40 RWHP ditching the FMU on a S-trim car.

You definately want to find something more aplicable to your set up. Personally I would contact whatever company you got your trim from and see if they have any suggestions for optimized power. Sounds like a good set up though.

if i loose the fmu will the tune take care of the rich/lean condition or is the fpr 1:1 enough dont want to blow my car up on the test drive for the new fuel system. should i get the super fmu from vortec they said takes place of fpr and base model vortec fmu and is easier to tune.

This is what i would do. Get in touch with Don at http://www.lasotaracing.com/ talk to him about a custom SCT chip he will definatly help you out. I am pleased with him and his custumer service. I spoke to him about my hole set up before i decided to purchase a 4 bank custom chip and wideband set up. Right now im contenplating buying his pro racer package. I still have a ton to learn about tuning before I get into tuning my own stuff, but I am very interested in doing it.

With that setup and 42 injectors you don't need a tune or a chip. Just the stock computer. I made 500 whp with abput the same thing...
