AFR heads Vs Edelbrock Performer RPM
which would you choose and why?
for a 331 stroker. We used Probe industry engine kit. Now its time to by heads. Keep in mind its going to be a daily driver. Will be carb set up. manual trans car 3.55 gear.

There's not even a question....AFRs. Performer RPMs are not not much of a step over stock. They don't even compare to the AFRs.

I'm looking at AFR 165cc or AFR 185cc street port heads
and Performer RPM's are not a notch above stock. They actually show good flow numbers way more than stock.

I didn't say they weren't better than stock. I said they weren't much better than stock, and they aren't.

If you're going to shell out the cash for a brand new set of aluminum heads, they're just a poor choice to spend your money on. They have the stock valve location, with small valves, poor intake runners, and poor exhaust runners. Why spend the money on a stroker kit, and then put a set of marginal (at best) heads on it? You'd be better off to not stroke it, and put a really good set of heads on it.
