i may get bashed here but i was wondering if those gorillachipz really do anything, theyre advertiesed to give like 40hp, but i know thats not realistic, its just something that goes into your intake or something??? any hp gains from these, or if i do get a chip do i have to do anyting else to the motor? thanks

I did a little research on this what they call a chip for you. The info I found is as follows: This so called chip goes in place of your ACT sensor. Ya know the sensor that tells the computer what your intake air temp is so the computer can adjust your air fuel ratio. This dude bought one and put it on his car and it did nothing. In fact it made it run like crap. He took it off and for the hell of it he took it apart and inside was the two wires that were attached to a resistor. All that would do is tell your computer that the air is one temp because the resistor is a fixed value. Yeah it might work once or twice a year if all conditions are met elsewhere to match the temp the gorillachipz is tellin it. Then all the rest of the time it wont work. I dont think I have to tell you its a sham and dont buy it. I think the info I gave you is worth at least what they charge for that piece of crap.. I will pm you my name and address so you can send me the money and I assure you I will put it to good use...

You mean eBay stuff? they call them "chips" but they're nothing but a resistor that can do more harm than good, if there is any out of them.. stay away.

If you need a real "chip" you can get those hot chips from this guy TBI Chips only if you have a stock setup with simple bolt ons. These chips are programmed in a way to add some spark advance in the spark timing table and were mostly derived or copied from the 5.0 Cobra tunes so you will see a good improvement.

If you have changed your injectors to over 24# with an uncalibrated MAF, or upgraded your intake, cam, heads..etc. you need custom tuning and nothing but that.

Get a real chip like Diablosport Revolution or Delta Chip. Or SCT or Hypertech or Jet or Moates anything other than the name brand shit is just a stupid resistor that your computer will relearn over it. www.stangtuning.com www.eectuning.com or ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/musta...spagenameZWDVW

the diablo chips will work from 1988-2004 mustangs and go to www.diablosport.com go to find the local dealer and find on the map a place around where you live that will reflash the chip for you which is the cheapest route or you can get it dyno tuned which is the best route.

http://www.moates.net/index.php?cPath=25_35

hope this helps you out

Welcome to the site. Just by you saying that you bought that resistor with 2 wires attached tells me you dont know much about Mustangs or cars in general. For your sake in the future post here first, get opinions then decide on what you want.. It will save you aggravation and $$..
