Similarly, the 89 lx 5.0 is said to have those same stats, what type of power would the 5.0 lx be putting out with the following mods on a rebuilt engine w/65,000 miles;

- B Series Cam
- Ported Stock Heads
- H pipe
- Dual Flows
- 3" Exhaust
- Rebuilt T5 Tranny
- *Underdrive Pullies (not installed yet)

tnx!

Yeah... Ported stock heads are worthless, and the 3 in exhaust is prolly hurting more than it's helping. The cam isn't good for much, and the underdrives only help if they are on the car. Lastly, by my math, that's 20 hp gain, not 15.

The 85's were rated at 205 stock. Your mods should give you 250-270 flywheel. 3" exhaust? are you sure? Most Mustang stuff is 2 1/2"!
That 3" is pretty expensive and way overkill!

I agree with jbig,, about 190 to the tire,, the hp ratings were inflated when they came out
