I dont think that is a flex a lite fan. It looks like a ProForm fan. if its the fan in the pic you have this one. You can get the directions here.

My buddy has had a ProForm on his car for 2 years now and it still works fine. So if you call it a rip-off cuz it costs 100+ dollars less and works just as good then so be it.. This is one case thats far and few in between that you get a little more than you pay for.. Dont happen often relish the moment..

Your buddy must have a collection of rabbits feet. There are alot of local guys by me that always try to save a buck on something and have used these Pro Form rip offs and had nothing but problems.

They're made by highly skilled Chineese babies.

We ran a Proform fan in our 92 LX.When we added a blower on the car ran hot at idle.If you guys want a really simple way to cool your ford down we sell these Police Issue heavy duty fan clutches. They work better than any electric fan on the market, these are not cheap imatations they're the real deal.

I like the HP gain with the electric fan.. Less parasitic loss...

They're good if there's not to much heat under the hood.A problem we have too,is that the condensor blockes the radiator, from any extra cooling.Besides the blower makes up for the 3-5hp we lost by putting a clutch fan back in.

We have had multiple guys (including myself) try many diferent elec. fans, this clutch fan is the balls.
