Is this an actual cobra?

So my friend bought a 93 5.0 mustang and he says its a real cobra. Its got drums on the back, says mustang gt on the sideskirts and rear bumper, and also has cruise control. He says the title says Cobra/gt on it. I cant decide if this is true or not. He's also going out to buy svt badges to stick on it, and I dont think thats the best idea because im not convinced this is a cobra. What are all of your thoughts?

No. Not a cobra. Get a pic of the car to be sure, but from what you gave it is not a real cobra.

Are you from Canada? The GT's all had Cobra in the title if they are Canadian.

In which case, he has a GT.

With that exception to the rule, it's a GT.

Besides, who in their right mind would dismantle a Cobra body to turn it into a GT? (Even though they're similar, but still)

Well I had a GT500, but it was too powerful and cool, so I turned it into a V6....

I have a set of cobra emblems for sale. Real nice match with the SVT emblem he is getting.

it's not even close to being a 93 cobra but I believe gt's sold in Canada had cobra on the titles

Yeah right I have a brand new shiny set of cobra badges for him to buy also, that way he can stick one on both sides and one on the trunk and have one for a hood ornament.....hellllz yeahh...He will be big Pimpin! I will even throw in the driver side floor mat.

He is going to need on for the dash also.

I bet some vinyl across the glass would be cool too. COBRA...
Maybe throw in some K&N stickers.

cant u tell from VIN# or the engine? Some real Cobras do have GT on bumpers read in MM

Still good to check even that was the case or maybe someone swapped they did not have drum brakes..

No they had 4 lug wheels but disk in the back its prob from canada...
