Is there a 302 with crank main roller bearigs? the title pretty much covers it i know its a dumb question and yes i googled it but i cant find anything on them and if they dont exist i have to ask why not?

I'm not an engine builder by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm confident enough to say that you would have severe oil pressure issues...

Obviously with roller bearings you don't need much oil pressure at the main bearings, just some oil flow. So you would need serious restriction of oil flow to the mains in order to get oil to the top of the motor. A dry sump system could probably be tuned to work. I've never heard of roller bearings in an american V8....

not too many that spin high enough to benefit from them. What is the goal? A V8 that spins to 15,000? Gunna run into issues with other parts

less resistance equals more power so its really just a what if but it would be neat to me

i dont know if i would trust it. too many moving little parts under that much load with that much rotating weight. and it would have to be a 2 peice bearing not like the roller cam bearings.

Its not production, but saw a cut away of an lsx based motor in a road racing GTO. Full roller bearings everywhere, crank, rods, cams. Block alone was something like 9k, let alone the other parts, when it was all said and done, he told us total cost was touching 40k for the motor
