If the transmission stops are not adjusted properly, what are some symptons ? When I get on my car, it grinds going into 2nd and 3rd I thought it might be the synchronizers could it be maybe the stops are not adjusted properly.

if the stops are too loose, the syncro can overextend and possibly get stuck in gear. If they are adjusted too tight, the syncro doesn't fully engage the gear and can damage the gear teeth enough so that grinding and hard shifting occurs. Try loosening them up a turn or so and see if it gets better. Would also recommend draining the fluid and refilling w/ a good grade of ATF/Mercon trans fluid.
