H Pipe Flow ?

Does anyone know how many hp you can make before BBK's 2.5" h-pipe with cats will become restrictive?

the high flow cats arent really any more restrictive than without them, i think the hp difference is like 1 or 2 if that....

Actually thats a valid question. not sure why you have to be a dick about it.

The effect of losses within the exhaust, due to the restrictive nature of a catalytic converter, is non-linear. Loss is a direct function of flow velocity where a lower velocity flow (i.e. lower hp engine) results in much lower losses than an exhaust exhibiting high velocity flow, where losses are much greater. And as stated before, the losses vs. flowrate is non-linear - and can approximate an exponential function is some cases or certain portions of the loss curve.

Therefore, the original poster, as it seems to me, was trying to ascertain what ballpark hp range (if thats something even known) that the losses would be practically negligible and not an issue.
