autometer oil pressure gauge

..how do I install this little bugger? my buddy just gave me one for free.

Did he give you the gauge and the sending unit? Is it mechanical or electronic?

In general, you'll need to find an oil passage you can tap. Normally you can pull the oil pressure sending unit and drop a T fitting on it and then stab the gauge sensor and factory oil pressure sending unit into it, plumb power and ground and you're basically done.

The light can be connected to your gauge cluster dimmer so when you dim the dash it dims the gauge too.

im not sure, i got the gauge a few fittings and some tubing.
its mechanical.
can i just plug it in to the side stock oil pressure port?

you can, but then you wont have the stock oil pressure gauge anymore. shouldnt matter though, the stock one is shit. atleast with the mechanical gauge, you will know exactly what pressure youre at.
