My on 3 performance 70 mm turbo will be here tomorrow. I have a few questions about tuning.

The 70mm turbo I bought comes with 44lb injectors and calibrated maf.

Will it be safe to drive to the tuner who is 62 miles away?

I have a stock pcm, is there anything i can do to get it to the tuner safely?

Did you fix the issue that you had with the stumbling? I wouldn't do anything until you get the car running right or you're just asking for issues.

So far so good...replaced the IAC (idle air control motor) and have not had a single issue all day. Car even runs great when cold now...idle is smoother as well.

Does that make any sense???LOL.

I figured with the new kit having new injectors and new maf one of those may fix it anyway BUT the car has run great all day with the IAC replaced. One on there was definetly original (23 years old!).

you will want brand new fresh o2 sensors in the exhaust ready to go when you get it on the dyno, not all messed up from it running like shit.


take pictures of the fitment of the pipes. I want to get the on3 kit also, just dont trust that the fitment is as good as they say it is.

Youll be able to drive it there. It might not be perfect, but it will be fine.

Forget the o2 sensors . A properly tuned boost car will be far out of a stock o2's range at WOT.

I was thinking the same thing...How much tuning is possible with a stock PCM anyways? I figure they will adjust the timing and fuel pressure and check the A/F ratio to tune it...

I agree with Jbigbootsy... forget about replacing the o2's and don't worry about driving it there. If your new maf sensor is dialed in good with those new injectors it'll run fine just don't get into boost much until it's tuned or at least a wb02 is on the car.
