both actually. the temp sensor for the gauge does NOTHING for the computer, and is only for the drivers sake.

the coolant temp sensor is in the heater tubes, and is for the computer, as is the air intake temp sensor on the lower intake manifold. both of which can cause issues if they are bad.

i mean just by you saying you can hear an air noise when you brake makes me think start with your brake booster line on the firewall drivers side it'll say B/B with a hose leading to it and to the brake master cylinder.

My moneys on one of the vacuum hoses if not that one having a massive fucking leak in it.

Link works now.... Yep, that's the one. Like said earlier... I'd replace the air temp sensor too, just for piece of mind. Cheap, but yeah I know, it all adds up.

SIDE NOTE: Also when you go to check voltage on your TPS when you do the base idle reset, check your full sweep from closed to open to make sure the voltage escalates at a constant rate. My buddies was in the parameters at closed, in the parameters open, but jumped all over in the middle. Just open is kinda slow and smoothly, and the voltage should progressively get higher.

HOLY SHIT...I may have found the problem...

The vaccum line coming out of the tree labeled S (last one on tree toward passenger side of car) that runs to the back of the motor is ROTTEN!!!

It's dry, cracked and definetly not a good line.

Tell me this could be it???

What does the S stand for on the tree. Going to Advance to pick up those sensors and pick up a new vaccum line as well.

its the 'Source' line coming from the intake manifold. if its all cracked, it could be a nice leak.

EDIT: hopefully the sensors and a new vacuum line get it running good again

I replaced everything (2 sensors, vaccum line for the SOURCE) and set my tps. TPS was reading 81-82.

The car is definetly running ALOT better but I am still getting the stumble. It happens very inconsistently and I do not have the time to check anything else.

Off she goes to get the turbo...

Hopefully the MSD 6AL, New injectors or new MAF that come with the kit do the trick.

On a sidenote the car is running MUCH better when cooler. I definetly fixed a few things today just not quite the major issue yet.

Thanks for all the help!

Could it be the fuel pump relay acting goofy?

I did the vacuum test as well....

it read 17-17.5 at idle which means normal according to the chart.

in your other thread, you said you had new oxygen sensors but you didnt install them yet, correct? they might be the problem. when you accelerate, the old sensors might not switch fast enough, causing a lean condition, aka the stumble, which then goes away when the sensors catch up. couldnt hurt to replace them atleast.

what i did to remove it, make it simple.

get a hammer.
break neck of sensor off.
find a suitable socket.
using either a breaker bar, or impact gun, remove old sensor.
install new.
win.

Stopped by to watch turbo install today...

All kinds of vaccum leaks that were not found! On the bottom of the manifold the two nipples had one completly rotten rubbe plug, the other was hard and old.

PCV valve hose leaking all over....

Spark plugs were all very lean.

A few of the fuel injectors had flat o-rings and one even had a little rust from water on it...

The saga continues! But hopefully once she is buttoned up with all this new equipment all the problems will be gone!

Massive intake manifold gasket leak as well. It's amazing what you find when you did down into the head of the motor! LOL!

It read 17-17.5. I never tested to see if it went up or down with throttle.
