You can get a g-force kit for around 1,300$. Otherwise just do a re-build and get a steel bearing retainer.

i can build your t5 to handle 400hp for roughly $1000 after shipping to build it to 500 hp is where it gets expensive thats the $2000+ tranny you were thinking of.

I put this T5Z gear kit in my old 88 and it worked great! Its rated at 450 HP.
Fairly easy to do and reasonable priced. I did mine in a couple hours.

^ That's exactly the stuff I used in mine. Along with a Steeda Tri Ax shifter.

What are the mods done to your car, I would be suprised if that car is seeing 400 and especially 500 to the shoes.....Not trying to be a prick its just people don't realize how much power that really is and when talking about future HP a lot of people dont realize the amount of money it takes to get to 500 HP....I am guessing you can go with that gearset sean is talking about and you will be fine, but keep in mind it doesn't matter if a transmission is rated to 1000 HP you can tear it up with 300, a HUGE portion is all in how you treat it, and maintain it.

If that's what you really are considering putting together, you should do better than 400 horse pretty easy at 12 lbs with a TF head. I would go no smaller than a 42lb injector, unless that's what you meant already, but I wouldn't be opposed to running something even larger.

T5-Z has my vote as well . mine is fine after 7 years of abuse. you can powershift 1-2 without grinding unlike the stock t-5 it replaced.

Me too.... With a baby on the way, the g-force kit isn't looking achievable right now, but my trans is barely hanging on.

Yeah if you are going twin turbo I dont know why you would be saying you are shooting for 400, You better get a built clicker with a yank converter if you want to hold the power a twin turbo is going to put up especially a twin with a good top end on it, Hope you are planning a good bottom end also, like a DART block or something that will hold the power and is a 4 bolt main...

Boss block will work fine, just remember that a 3.4" stroke isn't the best in those blocks because of the shorter cylinders they have.
