have 89 gt and last season ran best of 12.6 at 119 with 365 rwhp. 60 ft. time was 1.97 with hardly any spin but with a launch rpm of 3000 rpm. i have upr uppers and lowers kyb agx adjustable shocks in rear and struts in front. struts are set at 2 out of 4 and shocks are set at 4 out of 6. tires are bfg drag radials 255 50 16s. hopefully some input you could use.

Yeah you seem to have an ok suspension but if it is on street tires it aint worth shit.. Get some slicks... What size and type of tire are you running?

What air pressure (tires) are you running at the track? Play around with that a little.

If your gunna be keepin those tires for a little bit, try and dog it out of the whole a little, it should help it not spin so much, but you'll still have a a slow 60ft cause of the slow roll

If you don't wanna go slicks and risk an axle( the only reason I won't run em) then go up a few sizes in tire. I believe you should be able to go up to around a 275/40 which I run out back on a 17, but that's a SN95 not a fox body. I would think atleast a 265 in a 16 would hook alot better than a 245..........

I have 275\40\17 on the back of my Fox and I used to have drag radials that size on there. There is no difference. Drag radials are usless on a 17 inch wheel.. There is no give in the sidewall wether you are running street tires or drag radials.. The only way you are gonna get great performance out of drag radials is get 15 inch rims and put drag radials on them. They have lots of forgiving sidewall cushion... Other than that slicks is the way to do and I recommend a 15 inch tire also. I am runnin the Hoosier 26x9x15 with tubes.. A little trick when mounting slicks with tubes.. Rub the tubes down with baby powder so when the tire slips on the rim it wont twist your tube with it.. And yes slicks do spin on the rim sometimes unless you have the tires screwed to the rim...
