Buy a manual rack and eliminate the power steering pump.

Flaming river recomends that you use one of there steering shafts, and tie rods, along with their manual rack.

the power rack depends on fluid pressure to work properly.Without the pump it would be harder to turn than a manual rack

I got a manual rack one time from checker auto parts that was pretty cheap. I want to say $100 bucks or so. Now I am trying to find it again for my new notch and I can't find it anywhere. Anybody have a Part # of the manual rack that checker autoparts sells?

And the power rack needs fluid for lubrication, it will not last long with out a pump.
