Maybe theres some thing wrong with your fuel system. What i mean is .. that your getting enough fuel to get the car started but not enough to sustain a load. Its just a guess. check fuel pressure and trouble codes

that is how i bought my car - the tranny was popped. if is doesn't die when you put it in neutral and it dies when it is in gear.... something inside went boom.

you'll be able to recoup some $ by selling the stick shift setup. There are mods that can be done to the AOD to make it pretty stout.

just a guess , but maybe if your current t5 is busted, possibly the internal gears are locked up and thats why you stall. i drove mine home after 3rd busted (sounded awful) but i guess its possible the broken peices could bind or seize it up internally.

If you don't like T5's anyway just sell the setup and grab an AOD...then ship it out to get built. They can be built to handle lots of power.
